I think the results of a stock 318 or 360 Magnum and 3.55 gear in your car will come as a big surprise to you. No Need for mods/building. Just saying..............

    1980 Aspen transmission park bypass.

Yep, do that. And remove the drag link from the pitman arm for steering it on to the trailer. Don't be messing with the steering column. Or just rent a tow dolly from U-Haul and use a pair of floor jacks to drop the rear of the car onto the dolly for a short tow home.

Jumper cables? Nah...there is a better way now.

Research SUPER CAPACITOR jump starter. No battery to go dead or catch fire.

This is what I used on my 87 Fifth Ave. $75 for the distributor, wires and pig tail. The cap can be clocked every 90%, takes about an hour. Plenty of room. $75 for the carb. For a 70 Mopar. Both work like new money, from eBay and Amazon. And the return filter for vapor lock.

We got a bumper crop of late 90s 318/360 here in Arkansas. The best ones are in the old church vans. They only get driven on Sundays by the little old ladies that run the Sunday school routes.

Do you have a good understanding on adjusting the booster to master push rod?

Same her. I just accept it. When the gas hits the carb, off we go.

I'm keeping my 3900-pound 93 318 Magnum 3.91 rear auto trans Dakota because it reminds so much of how the 69 GTS 340/3.55 rear auto trans Dart I had back in 74 ran.

    Kick down linkage issues

My understanding is that it balances the available pump line pressure against the drive shaft speed tail shaft governor pressure. And will influence the car speed shift points. Both up and down.

The best ratchet straps for the money around here are the 12-foot Husky black with red strip from Home Depot for $10 at four to the pack. I use two diagonally on each wheel for anchoring it down and one at each truss/rafter run from side to side at the top of the wall for snow load. So, at least...

    Looking for car cover recommendations

No, not yet. Probably because we have three monster size owls and two large aggressive hawks residing in the tree's close to the cars on these 3 acres. Wasp can be a bit of a surprise if I let one sit too long.

That's definitely a concern. Maybe ratchet straps over the top between poles to add more roof ribs, or something. The most I've had on one was about a foot.

Light throttle ping from stoplight on hot days

Congratulations on the tune. I know it's a rigmarole, but necessary. I was able to tune my 75 Dart BBD catalytic 318 auto 2.73 rear to run well with ported or constant vacuum advance. Different tune for each. Best all-around setup on this car is with "working egr" and ported advance. 3 mpg...

    Looking for car cover recommendations

Maybe, but I don't think so. It doesn't puddle water and we had an hour of 60 mph straight line wind last month. No problem. The usual method of roof reinforcement is to run ratchet straps from side pipe to side pipe over the car to truss the roof. The plastic top can be drawn as tight as you...
