Oh I've done simple stuff like that. Brakes, alternators, starters. I replaced the head gaskets on my previous Aspen, and you know what replacing head gaskets means...I was staring straight at the piston tops. And after I put everything back together, the engine actually started. I was stunned...

Wow! I'm so jealous it's making me dizzy. Actually it's not the bad sort of jealousy, I'm just amazed at how you made this build sound so easy. I wish i could do the same thing with my Volare. But I wouldn't know how to drop an engine and transmission, or how to take apart the suspension...

Alas! I'm one mile (1.6 km) too far, one dollar (2.6 BD) too short :sad5: Would love to own a RR like this...in fact I would love to own this one no matter what anyone says! Oh well...

Hi guys...Lots of great info here. If I may, I would like to pick your collective brains here a bit. I enjoy my 77 Volare with it's stock 318 mainly as a second car (when the other brand B is in the shop, which is a lot), but in any case I don't drive it normally more than 3000 miles a year...

Absolutely gorgeous. Congratulations. This car would be perfect as a reference for all those wishing to restore theirs to original state. I'd love to just stand there and ogle that 318 for a day or 3.

Hi everyone, It's the same everywhere I think. Almost everyone takes notice when I'm driving the Volare. Some people have a negative look on their face as if saying "hey get that junk away from my Toyota", while the intelligent ones actually have a look of admiration on their faces!

If the FI system is working without any problems (could happen) then why rip it out?

Speaking of painting...what would be the best way to paint a block, heads, manifold, and valve covers. Is it just simply cleaning them up and spraying them with paint from the spray can?
