Thanks for accepting me and don't let the Infiniti name scare anyone off. My retirement from Nissan/Infiniti was proceeded by several years as a technician in a Dodge Dealer as well as several seasons in an AHRA Super Stock Dodge Charger. (Guess that dates me by a little !!) My current project is a 1979 Dodge Aspen RT waiting for a 360/727/8 3/4 upgrade. Will post photos and updates as they happen. Thanks ahead and again !!

Welcome to the forum...it is certainly the right place for such project discussions, so let me toss this one right at ya: why 360 and not a 408 stroker???

It's actually a .40 over 360 with lots of goodies. Looking back at the build , I probably could have bought the assembled 408 at Summit for less, but half the fun is the build. Really wanted a 340 , but good luck there !⁷

Welcome! You could always disguse it as a 340. Get a date coded timing cover, the right valve covers, smudge the numbers on the front of the cylinder head, and add an unsilenced air cleaner, and who would ever know?

Was really hoping for 340 performance and durability , kinda like my Duster from high school. Ah ! The good ole days ! Guess I had to settle for affordability instead. LOL !

It is very cool what you already have there, I didn't realize this 360 build was done.

Yeah, 360 is a potent motor, I used to run one for many years and it was a great power plant.
