When I first start my cars after winter sleep I need to run the starter quite some time to get fuel back into the carb. Usually like 10-20s (in multiple shots, not to shoot the starter, of course). Put the line from the pump to a jar and turn starter. If nothing comes, either line clogged...

There are Bluetooth radio units you plug into the cigar lighter and they send whatever you send via Bluetooth to your old radio on FM. Don't have a source at hand, but that should be cheap and easily transferable between cars. :)

For the coolant container - just a big washer, maybe partly cut to fit, to hold it with the same screw doesn't help?

Epoxy or oil filled coil? Maybe things got loose inside the coil and and at that particular position you might have had an internal short of the coil?

Likely the carbon brush inside the motor. They are available and exchange is not to hard, once you got the motor out. Did that myself on a 79 LeBaron. If the spring is broke, use half of a pencils spring.

Me too. Unfortunately, there seems to be noone telling today's kids how to understand, differentiate real life from PlayStation shit... It's going south, that's for sure. Hence, keep that 70/80s cars running - as long as you can.
