    Hello from Poland

No, it is just an adjustment issue. You have the service manual?

    Hello from Poland

You definitely need to fix the transmission throttle lever (the long hole at the throttle, thats going down to the trans). It needs to be touching the throttle stud with its right end of the long hole.

    318 Valve Cover Gasket Issues

Straightening the covers is essential. Then, apply a thin 'rope' of RTV to the cover, attach a cork gasket and let it sit with the covers weight to have some pressure on the gasket and let it cure. The triangle helps a lot. Then, some rtv on the gasket and fasten them very light but tight to the...

    Hello from Poland

Jaa, PowerMeet before the split must have been just _something_ 40.000 US cars. Do you pals in the states have something THAT big? Anyway, we're going this year again. Finowfurt is said to be just cool with racing and all. Also, in Paaren/Glien (just northwest of Berlin) are usually...

    Hello from Poland

If you want to join a *real*dead*serious* meeting, you'd need to get to Sweden, first week in July (7th to 9th). I would expect more than 10.000 cars over the three days in the Västeras area - Summer Meet. -> Västerås Summer Meet If you want even classier cars, join the meeting in Lidköping...

    New Guy from the Netherlands

Netherlands? Compared to those mates here we're around the corner. :) Good luck with the conversion project. Have a 79 coupe (318 still running strong), same color. Mine was a Export delivery - same color as yours and was originally delivered to the netherlands... Quite funny.

Wiper motor crank arm nut 1988 5th Ave.

I have to agree. Just looked up the 2009 VW Phaeton 4.2 V8 I used to drive - approx. 330 ft-lb of torque. Phew, that's not a whole lot (although that car was not slow despite its dinosaur-like weight...). Same goes for the 2000 A6 V8 before the Phaeton - 295 lb-ft.... I don't lookup all the...

Wiper motor crank arm nut 1988 5th Ave.

If I remember correctly, that should be a hollow nut, just pressed out of some thin steel. Not a solid nut. If you have a replacement, press it hard (destroys old nut) to get it to thread off. Otherwise, just pop the linkage off the short arm and replace the nylon bushings.
