I have some trim and related things i need replacing and/or fixing

You did the right thing! I have one myself bought in the 1990's from a company called Koller Dodge. They closed down in early 2000. Enjoy the hunt.

    Hello everyone!

For us old dogs it is a pleasure to see the young generation have interest in old Mopar. I have the same model in Green.

Of course you can have them. They are just collecting dust at my place as my 1978 model G22 has the full set in Green. Mine I got from USA and these came along as I bought all he had. Luckily he had the two door ones and and the two on the drivers side for me. I will take them home to Norway...

Same as on mine and that is a 1978 model. I dusted off one of my shelves where I have parts that may fit your car. Those mouldings are indeed hard to come by but I manage a few years ago to find some in USA. These are extra and I will gladly help you off if they are of use to you.

Check this page out as I ordered a set from them. The bushings are the same for later models from 1980's

Sorry for late answer but thanks a million for your advice. I have got hold of a few spring solator pads but seem to recall I had that done way back in th 1990's. U-bolts minor problem as they may be bought locally.

Mopar electronic ignition brain twister...absolutely stumped with this problem

Here is the kit I bought in 1993 or so direct from the norwegian importer. Worked splendid till I stored her from 2000 - 2022. Then had to buy two new parts: The one on the front fender and the other one behind the windscreen washer tank.

My first post and it's a doozy

Maybe. I will check it over when I dash over next week. There is nothing like original parts. Same with my motorcycles. Original Noton stuff works splendid (1958 model 99) and so do my own cylinder head gaskets made by solid copper to my Brough Superior SS80 from 1938.. The ones I bought from a...

A well know fate Ele. A friend of mine (long gone) had a motorcycle shop in Trondhjem, Norway. Been in the business for nearly 50 years. Even did speedway racing and Trials etc. He had the database too in his head. When he died the shop was sold to one of the employees, an old tooth and carried...

You are dead right Ele. Same over here as the old man/woman who have worked in the spares department for 40 years are long gone. An example from a good friend of mine in Norway: He had a 1947 Ford Coupe bought in late 1960. Restored it and swapped the front brake drums to Volvo Amazon disk...

It did before I put her away and still do as the new one from Rockauto did not.

By the way: Does Hemming still make that thick paperback with interchangable parts? I bought one in the mid 1980's but long gone. I found out that the Power Steering pump was also used by GM and Ford. Bearings front for the G22 are the same as Volvo 144 and 145 so the price buying those are...

My first post and it's a doozy

I must check the restistor I bought as you gave me an idea. Perhaps I can use only two of the connections? I seem to recall (when looking underneath it that there were two paralell restistor wires? Thanks a million Mike. A different kettle of fish now as the parts I have asked for are as...

I know but phoning from Norway and my language is not so good. I hope some of our members here had time to help me asking them for a quotation. I do not rely 100% on myself speaking and may mess things up. Thanks for informing me Sir

I had too but managed to get hold of a reasonable priced one on Ebay. They are not my cup of tea. Good to see you saved the clip as it could easily be adapted.

My first post and it's a doozy

Oh dear me what a lot of work done and still struggling to make it running as it should. I noted one thing that I want to comment. I have this G22 1978 bought in 1991 and ran till 2000 when mothballed. Pulled out again in 2022. Mid 1990 I threw out the Spark Control Computer and replaced...

The Long Story of the '78 Dodge Diplomat Restoration

Thanks Robert for your comment and pictures. A nice T-Bird too and they do look similar to me. The steering wheel in mine was and extra if I recall correct. When dusting her off she started but the horn kept blowing. Teard off the centre and unplugged the contact. The fault was in the spokes as...

The Long Story of the '78 Dodge Diplomat Restoration

Your story is facinating and very similar to mine. I bought her in 1991, changed the automatic gearbox as that packed in. Drove her till 2000 and put her away for 22 years before bringing her out in daylight again. Funny thing about rust as the same has popped up tn the trunk. Rust on the left...
