Good to hear that no one got injured, and your Eve is on her way back on the road again. I'm kind of stealing this thread to ask if anyone heard from BudW lately? Long time since I've seen any of his insightful posts, and that makes me worried.

    Aspen 4D vinyl roof replacement.

Thanks JW, I read your post(s) about your renovation. Nice job. The reason I asked is because the internet is giving me all kinds of answers regarding the best glue for the job. Some say a spray adhesive (3M super 80 or 90) is good enough. Some again is swearing to a couple of brands you have...

    Aspen 4D vinyl roof replacement.

I've read a lot of different forums and seen a ton of videos lately explaining how to change it. It doesn't look too bad as long as you take your time (you know measure once etc...). I am a little worried about rust underneeth the vinyl, so i really need to adress this just to put my mind at...

    Aspen 4D vinyl roof replacement.

Thank you for responding. That's what I was afraid of, appatently none of the known quality suppliers makes a replacement roof for our cars. Was hoping someone in here did buy a vinyl roof at some point and could tell me where it was ordered from and if the quality was OK. I guess a local shop...

    Aspen 4D vinyl roof replacement.

I'm thinking about replacing the vinyl roof on my '77 Aspen once I got it back from winter storage. Been searcing the web for a while hoping to find a place to order a good quality roof. Legendary auto interiors and SMS auto fabrics comes up as good places to buy, but does not seem to offer a...

    Starting issue

Sorry, my car is at winter storage so I cannot provide any pictures, but thanks to DCAspen for posted some nice ones. IIRC the wire with the yellow stripe (bottom right on starter relay) is grounded through the neutral safety switch when in neutral/park. You should be able to check the switch...

You should also check the starter relay on the firewall. Had a corroded connection that caused me similar problems.

Volare front suspension in a 56 Ford F100 truck

Just keep in mind the T-bars also acts like a support strut to prevent the lower control arm from moving forward/backwards. I would check them for play, the center bushings too. If they're OK you probably good with the things you mentioned. Replacement bushings are impossible to find. Only poly...

Volare front suspension in a 56 Ford F100 truck

I found a lot of good info on the Dippy site, with diagrams and torque specs, when I did my front end . Front Suspension and Steering Linkage The things you listed isn't too bad, the worst problems for me was sepatating the T-bar end bushings from the bar. Som useful tips about the T-bar issue...

I like it 7T8. I hope to upgrade to a pre 2015 model one of these days, but in my tax-greedy, "green" country a 2022 would set me back about $200.000 o_O My Mopar11 Charger did cost me $46.000 last year. I think that's almost 50% more than the price for a new one in the states in 2011. Anyways...

    Torsion Bar Bushings

I think you have som valid points XfbodyX. Thank you for pointing that out. I'll check into it the next time I feel the urge to get on my back under the car for a few ours again.:p Like Volare 1977 said, the friction plate is made with a slotted U-shape to slide them in from the front, and they...

    Summer Meet in Västeras 2022

Have a nice trip. Some friends of mine are going and asked me to join, but I just can't make it this year. Post some pictures if you see some FMJ's, will you?

    Torsion Bar Bushings

I was not happy with the polys on my torsion bars. The right hand side bushing started to squeak a little after a few months, and the pivot bushsing never looked right with a gap underneeth. Like a miracle I got hold of two new end bushings from a part vendor here in Norway. I was searching...

    Hood insulation removal

I got this hood pad from ebay, been under there for two years now and still looks good. 1976-1978 DODGE ASPEN and PLYMOUTH VOLARE HOOD INSULATION PAD | eBay The fitness was good, even the precut holes was spot on. The only drawback IIRC was I needed more clips than the 12 piece set I got...

    Springs & Shock plates info

Plyduster; may I ask how much for the leaf springs at Espo? I asked Laura for a price quote on their chat a few months ago. She asked what dimensions my shackles were. Since my car was in winter storage at the time i didn't get back to her, and later I totally forgot. I am considering ordering...

    Hello from Poland

It looks like the spring who push the kickdown-rod against the throttle lever is missing. Like 69 said; it is very important the kickdown assembly is adjusted correctly. Othewise you will fry the clutches in your transmission due to low line pressure causing the clutches to slip.

Same as here in Norway 69-. But we're kind of used to it, cause the the taxes on gas has been insane for decades here. On friday the prices in my area was 10 dollars a gallon. The governtment steals about 70% in taxes even though we are a oil producing nation. Well, it's expensive to drive a V8...

    Hello from Poland

Okay, so the park/turn lamps in the bumper was converted to fog lights at some point? Mine had some ugly yellow plastic glued to the lenses for yellow turn signals. I managed to remove them without destroying the lens so they now have the original semi-clear look. With amber bulbs it looks like...

    Hello from Poland

I think that is a really good looking Aspen Jed, maybe apart from the extra turn signals and fender mirrors (just my honest opinion:)). If it is mandatory with amber turn signals in Poland, you can put amber bulbs in the front fender lamps and backup lights. My Aspen had holes in the front...
