Sorry in advance. Parts quality rant

I had a 93 D250 Turbo Diesel with external voltage regulator. It went bad, got one at the local parts store. Went bad in 4 days. Tore it apart to see a single chip with a burn spot in the middle. Went to the junkyard and ganked every old style analog I could find.

    1977 SB A904 Trany Needed

Be aware that at some point Chrysler switched to lock up converter. You can tell by the input shaft not having splines all the way to the end of the input shaft where it goes into the converter. But any RWD non 727 tranny through 89 will work. Just make sure you have the right converter for...

Sorry in advance. Parts quality rant

One of the issues with the electronic stuff for our cars is that they were originally analog assemblies. Now it is a tiny circuit board with a chip on it. Digital does not handle variability very well. We all know these cars electrics work in a broad range of voltages. Analog tends to handle...

Schumacher SB to BB install instructions.

Just adding some observations as I am currently putting my 2nd 400 in my 77 Volare RR. If you want to use a Melling high volume oil pump. I could not find a way to make it work. With it installed I could see no way to get the nut on for the motor mount through bolt. If you put the nut on then...

Possible ignition issue, Procomp 7000 series distributor

Getting a timing light and a friend. With the car in park Rev to 6k rpm and see if the timing light is steady or bouncing around. I bet you will find it bouncing around. If so check the distributor and make sure the advance mechanism is free and clear. I have seen something similar with a stock...

    Duel exhaust alternatives.

That is what I did under my race car except I didn't do the measure part. I crawled up and got it where I wanted and tack welded it. Then took it out to do the full weld.

Yep, that is what I remember. :)

    Duel exhaust alternatives.

That is great for the non hump gas tank. Does not work with the hump gas. Tank. No bumping it a rib. :)

    Duel exhaust alternatives.

I have a 76 and 77 Volare. The hump gas tank is not great for duel exhaust setup. There are many places that suggest you 2.5 exhaust off header then join that to a larger single out pipe. So say 3.5 or 4" exhaust pipe. I think it would be fine for a mild small block. The duels on on my 76 which...

1978 Aspen Police car dual exhaust

I need to do some digging but they never came with a true dual exhaust. They ran 2 bigger pipes that connected just before the gas tank and then joined together into a single 2.50 pipe with muffler. I had pictures I took at a junkyard of one that had fallen on it's side and the exhaust was...

Schumacher SB to BB install instructions.

That is the conversion kit I used. I did not cut down the original mount. I drilled a slightly larger hole so if I ever wanted to go back to SB I could just drop one in.

Apparently I suck at reading wiring diagrams.

So the first stop from the underhood harness for hot runs to the dimmer switch? So if the dimmer switch does not have 12 volts it has to be underhood issue for the power loss? He

    Steering column gasket/grommet.

Hi All, 76 Roadrunner. I just put Borgeson PS box on my car and there was this strange up and down movement of the steering column. Turns out where the column extends into the engine bay there is a rubber gasket grommet that goes around the column and mounts in the plate attached to firewall...

Apparently I suck at reading wiring diagrams.

Great pics! They confirm that any fusible links are long gone. What color is the wire coming from the under hood harness to the the bulk head connector in position 27? In 76 number 1 is blank and then the number seem to count left to right.

Apparently I suck at reading wiring diagrams.

Thanks guys, I actually tested the headlight switch the wire with power coming to the headlight switch. Nada. Interesting, I have hooked up with the 76 wiring diagram from Mopar and it shows the headlight wire being number 27 on the bulkhead connector. I am hoping to cut off the wire wrap...

Future mods to my 76 Roadrunner resto.

Picked up a set of rear disc off a 2007 Jeep Liberty. Going to put those on the 8 1/4 currently in the car. Apparently I suck at reading wiring diagrams.

I have 76 Roadrunner I am trying to bring back to life. The fuse block looks like someone tried to cut it out of the car with a rusty saw but it is functionale and all the fuses test good. I am getting no power to the headlight switch (no lights at all, but I do get power to the dash warning...

    Jeep 8.25 carriers?

Certain gens of Jeep and Dakota used the 8 3/8 rear end which is basically an 8 1/4. You will have to do some research for which match. It has been too long and I don't recall. I know that 94-98 Grand Cherokees rear disc fit and a member on here swapped a Jeep Liberty 2003-2007 rear axle into a...

So, bigger question. Where do we get poly leaf spring eyelet bushing in poly? This is the back end, not the odd oval up front.
