Too expensive, or "that's the going rate these days"???

I'm not trying to dog you, but you did ask for opinions and I am an aggressively opinionated individual, so...... I do the same thing. There are 'upgrades' on my car that my current self would talk my past self out of. At $650 tubular upper control arms would be one. I had already replaced...

    Poly Bushings question

I hope you like squeaks and creaks. Ask me how I know. If it's one thing I've learned is to always use rubber for control arms and springs. Poly is great for sway bars.

    Manual Swap?

Correct, it's not impossible, nor is it even hard. Mechanically these cars are no harder to mod than an A body with much of the aftermarket support for A/B/C/E cars working on F/J/M. Your only hang up is sheet metal availability and if that scares you then keeping it OEM isn't going to make it...

Too expensive, or "that's the going rate these days"???

All I see is rusty junk. Maybe I'm jaded, but what people ask for old parts now a days is just nuts. If you're keen on spending coin then just get HD Firm Feel shackle kit and use your existing mounts. The non-fleet mounts aren't exactly a point of weakness. I know the factory used the...

I've never known there to be an A38 Lebaron and the car next to it is painted fire department red with TRAFFIC on the side. They probably grabbed whatever M was in sight and dressed them up.

    CalTracs/ M body question

I'm trying to have my cake and eat it too with this build and so far I think I've succeeded. It's mostly a street car and it needs to handle, but traction is also a consideration. Mono leaf springs ride rough and I stayed away from sliders because of the noise. Ground clearance isn't an issue...

    CalTracs/ M body question

Dad and I are running them with regular leaf packs. Is this still a street car? If it is I wouldn't go mono leaf.

I have brand new in the box voltage regulators if you need one. You can have it for the cost of the ride. If you change the color then to do it right you need to paint the jams, under hood/truck, everything. Gets to be very, very expensive.

    Aftermarket aluminum radiator

That's got to be it. The core tubes are getting fatigued through vibration. The odds of all these radiators across multiple brands being bad just can't be it. The common denominator is that fan. First thing I would do is yank it out and power it up. If the balance is off you'll know it...

    Aftermarket aluminum radiator

I've got nothing then. I was thinking electrolysis could have been eating the radiators. That is just an unimaginable string of bad luck to be having with all these radiators. How is the fan mounted to the radiator itself? If it is even the slightest bit out of balance it will put stress...

    Aftermarket aluminum radiator

Dude, this sucks. Dad and I are still running our old Champion radiators without issue. I even had mine modified at a shop to move the inlet to other side for a big block when I swapped. A lot can happen with QC in a decade though. Did you use distilled water or tap water?

    318 LA Cam Swap Question

I didn't say it's a roller, only roller capable. Chrysler introduced 318 blocks with roller provisions in 1985. Would seem a bit silly to cast two different blocks after three years of production when the roller block is capable of running a flat tappet.

    318 LA Cam Swap Question

The block should be roller capable. You'll know if there are threaded pedestals down the center of the lifter galley. This is what holds the tappet retaining plate in place. The real bad epidemic of flat tappet cam failures has a lot to do with the shit machining on the crown of the lifters...

I like how you did your fender supports. I redid mine and decided to tie them together across the motor.

    I got fired today.

You need to talk an attorney. There are firms that specialize in this area of law and with it being that clients in this business are typically hard up for cash I would bet firms work on contingency (only get paid if you win). The bluer the state the better labor protection laws, typically...

    Fall is in the air.

See if they are willing to put the vehicle in storage over winter. Some carriers allow for this. It drops collision coverage and only keeps fire/theft. NM, I see you already did that for a year.

Last Site Upgrade - it sucks!

LOL, I can't believe I'm taking the argument of progress here. Board software, like anything else, will only get security updates for so long before the version is deprecated and you're forced to move to the next supported major version number. With this comes new features. I know you used to...

Good Lord, what browser are you using that can't render SVG graphics? If it's that old you need to be wearing condom when browsing the web. I'm sure the place holders are still there. If you hover the cursor over where they should be the alt-tag should still pop up.
