Flight & rental is booked, trip this November

No need to burn a day, I guess. I'd think I'll arrive in Dearborn late afternoon. Will keep you posted next Monday when I leave NYC or know how far I can get on Monday evening. Do you have a nice location in/south of Dearborn or that area? You can also get my mobile number, just ping me and...

Flight & rental is booked, trip this November

Meanwhile, I got invited to Thanksgiving in Ft Myers, I'll *plan* to arrive late Thursday afternoon there, IF I'm able to make it. So, current plan is: Monday evening -> going West as far as it takes me, starting in NYC. But I think it's only going a couple dozen miles out of the city. Tuesday -...

Flight & rental is booked, trip this November

I know, Thanksgiving. That's why I'm quite happy to habe a car already, considering likely reduced flight schedules... Anyway. I'll do some planning for my trip and get back to you guys. A stop in Cleveland is likely due to friend's friends living in the area.

Flight & rental is booked, trip this November

Another trip to the states planned. I'll arrive in NYC on 24th, meeting some old colleagues in the afternoon. Then going west till Dearborn. Visiting The Ford to see the famous Dodge Deora, probably a once in a lifetime opportunity. Can't miss that one, as I have an A100 myself. Then, most...

    Aspen/Volare woes...rust never sleeps

Fürther proof to my personal theory that at least 90% of mankind are silly, goony, or both.

    Aftermarket aluminum radiator

What coolant do you use? Is it for Aluminium and and cast iron? Maybe not fully flushed when changed coolant?

    And She's Back

I fully understand you being so happy your brother can move out to the RV. Myself, I just moved out from our home to our RV because my crazy sister-in-law just showed up at our house at 9pm requesting to sleep over.... This is another story to tell in person, only... Hopefully someday sooner...

    Fusible Link Replacment

Problem with a stronger alternator is, that the problem of weak wires only shows when either (or both) the battery is not near full (higher amperage go to battery) or more load is added (e.g. high wattage radio, more lamps, electric fan, fridge.. ).

Look at the back of the regulator, you'll see if it's filled normally or melted. Melted is no good.

    Random Pics

Oh, and I probably forgot the last meet I went with the LeBaron. It was freshly polished and we drove to our Mid Mopar Meet in Homberg (nearby Kassel in Hesse). Approx. 170 Mopars only (and some others, at the far end of the site), lots of burn outs (I was lucky a friend took me in his Duster...

Drove to a local classic car meet today. Well, not really classic cars only. They include cars starting at age 20 or so already, perhaps to let the meet grow and grow. How bad, because you'll see a lot modern cars which most likely will not survive the next 5 years... Anyway, A Diplo Station...

I'll vote for Lucia. That's a nice middle. And good luck with the bakery.

    Fusible Link Replacment

These spikes (alternator on-off is a huge problem due to massive residual energy in it when turned off by the regulator) can only be rectified with lots of electronics shit, nothing cheaply available at the mid-ages our beloved cars have been built. The alternator-regulator does not really...

    I got fired today.

First, all the best for you and your wife - and the to-be-newborn. On the job: what a fuck up. I always had the impression (from your occasional reports) you liked your job on the machines and did great work... Are they selling less machines, because of import duties and have to scale down? I...

Last Site Upgrade - it sucks!

Reminds me of 'The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad!'. At least in the German synchronize said I do safer sex (while wearing a full body condom...)

    Stickers on my G22

Because it's rather retarded timing (but I have no proof. Necessary for emissions at that time). You have no influence on timing whatsoever, if I understand it correctly. No recurving the distributor, nothing. Of course, it did work then (and now, my LeBaron is a good example), but a little...

    And She's Back

At least you apologized to the 5th. :) We're in Sardinia right now, pleasant temps, lots of sun and what goooood meals here. Love Italian cuisine. I really should take some courses to learn that language - our host at the agritourismo does not speak a word non-italian. But the Mirto (local...

And take the cruise control assembly (if so equipped). Good replacement for failing old units (diaphragm failing - I would probably take 2 units... ;) )
