when was the last time the carb was rebuilt? my random guesses are choke vaccum pull off, fuel pump, floats, clogged fuel filter, accelerator pump other guesses are cap and rotor or ignition coil. these are just random guesses from some clown on the internet though

you can get a driveshaft made or cut down another, it's not that expensive

There's just been too many problems with the FF bars. I think if they had said "hey we have these bars, they won't be perfect, some fine tuning required" then people would complain a lot less. The quality just seems all over the place for a production run.

If you're still running the original carburetor, I wonder if you're having an issue with the bowl vent solenoid Are you in park when you're doing that? Could be you're beating up the torque converter
