I've seen new 1406 carbs on FB Marketplace that people bought and decided not to use for $200... don't waste a lot of time and $$ on rebuilding something that's very easy to replace. My 2c
Yep - I was basically answering that question with the subsequent reference to the motors I have access to. I read-up on the K-car brake booster and hood/other clearance issues for the RBs. I have been leaning toward the 400 as well. Thank you.
Thank you for the reply and offer Aspen. Very...
Has anyone compiled a list of what is needed to swap in a 383/400. Why not go a 440? I have access to a couple B motors in my play money price range. Can one of you point me to a YouTube where it's been done that would give me an idea... I thought ....motor/trans/b-body rear... but what about...
Thank you all. The Imperials A pillars are covered in foamed material (like the headliner) so I don't think as of yet that they're screwed on like the Volare ones and they are not visible if so. I guess this is going to take some investigative work and maybe dash pad removal.
I searched and read the threads.... maybe it's so simple I just need to do it, but - 1982 Imperial...
I need to recover both of the A Pillars in my Imperial. Once I get the headliner loose, do they just pull off? Straight back? Pull toward the center?
Thank you.
Thank you both. Is that the number you found Aspen? If so, I'll try that. NHA as they said in the Air Force... next higher assy.
Update - found on eBay for $20 and purchased. What came up on amazon had the plug connectors on the opposite (under the tank) side... so definitely look at those...

Does anyone have a good rubber grommet that seals the pump to the bottom of the windshield washer reservoir? Mine appears to have been leaking for quite some time.

It's a 5-footer for sure. Lot's of faded paint and oxidized interior chromed plastic. The A-pillars and headliner were re-upholstered about 20 years ago but look pretty worn out.... winter projects.
It does have that white leather and blue accent interior that is pretty rare.
Greetings from Logan Martin Lake, Alabama. I was an active member over 10 years ago (83Imp), sold and bought many cars, and brought home a fairly nice 82 Imperial yesterday. I hope everyone had a fun summer.
