Why delete the lean burn ? I bought a 79 road runner in June of 79. Still have it, 110k miles, no issue with the lean burn at all. 318, Thermoquad. Runs like new !!

Those old Tin Indians are pretty cool in my opinion. Some cousins and friends of mine had tri-power Bonnevilles and Grand Prixs back in the 60's and 70's. My sister had a '65 Goat, 389, tri-power 4 speed back in 66-67. I would love to have one of those also!

I think it was all interchangeable with the 360. I’d have to check the service manual, but I’m sure both engines used the same Thermoquad carb.

Beautiful Mirada ! The 318 4bbl in my car came with the California emissions package, which included an air pump. I believe that was the only way to get that engine/carb combination. Also, I think ‘79 was the first year it was available.
