    Stuck thermostat?

Go through everything, not just the pump. Check it all. If it hasn't been maintained well it may need more than one thing. Water pump, fan clutch, a flush. Gooped up radiator. Test your fan clutch. It's been hot in Florida and everywhere else. You need good airflow and coolant flow. If you...

    Rear leaf spring "tensioner"??

I absolutely believe him. I know from years of dealing with these monstrosities and forgetting half of what I ever saw that Chrysler changed things all the time and their engineers were definitely not drug tested. Just when you think you've seen it all, something else comes along and tops it...

    Rear leaf spring "tensioner"??

The ones built for export to New Guinea had a Beryllium loaded photon encabulator on both leaf springs. They did this for 3 years. If the threaded 8/16" fitting for the sensor breaks, you will have to be tested for HIV, Measles, Rabies, Rickets and about 35 other things.

LA 360 Driver side motor mount

I use AC compressor spacers. I have tons of them. Chrysler had to do everything extra weird. That's just their culture. Like the 426 Hemi engine mounts and the intake manifold heater tube crap.

    Can this be done ?

A long time ago I was bored and cut them all open. It looked to me like the Wix and Napa gold were identical. The Fram was pretty bad. Paper that just falls apart. Mobil 1 was good. Most were. Baldwins are good. Actually, I would use most of them but the Fram. Never did cut a Purolator open. I...

    Can this be done ?

I'm not making fun of you, I am making fun of the internet. They will absolutely melt down over this in some places. Or the "wrong" hose clamps. Or flex tubes etc.

I'm surprised they aren't forming up at your gates with torches and pitchforks over that orange oil filter.

    Worth it to fix?

I've sleeved a lot of engines. Just know that it has gone up. It's going to be expensive and there is a lot of machining involved. The block you have had better be worth it. They used to be cheap to sleeve, and by cheap I mean like $100 a cylinder PLUS the machine work. Not now. Sleeving was a...

They are greedy and won't pay crap so only the morons will take those jobs and our industries are collapsing. The people who really have their s***t together...

It's sad. I just need an old guy chain smoking Camels with a pony tail. The gray haired guy IS THE DATABASE ! He can find what you need. He knows what galley plugs are or where the gasket paper is. It's not a good future. They really just prefer to sell wiper blades and bulbs. That's where...

Gunnar, what you are talking about comes as a subscription now. IT is also included in estimate writing software too. Parts stores have it, but over here not a lot of the people that work the counter know how to use everything in their systems or even want to try. They are not into the deeper...

I just did the alternator in my V70. That was fun. Half the engine had to come out. But the good news is one from a Porsche fit. It all interchanges. VW, Audi, BMW. It's all Bosche. Most of them even have the same pulley. I didnt even have to go buy an alternator. I had one. It looked familiar...

I have an AMC SC/360 with a cold air hood and the little vacuum actuator quit working. I searched everywhere. I eventually discovered that the vacuum thingy was a Ford part. They were used on Mustangs, Torinos all kinds of things so once I discovered that I had no trouble getting it and it was...
