I have that same thing when I park on a incline. I just figured it was slop in the shifter linkage but I could be wrong about that.

Kernel, looking at those pictures makes my chuckle. Could you imagine in this day and age a dealer installed cruise control! I can't imagine the look on the average technicians face when told they need to add wiring to the steering column. :D

Good Lord, for as easy as it seems to adjust your front or kickdown band that thing sure is awkward to get to.

I'm not sure I would call that thing a check valve. It wasn't open there seems to be a diaphragm in the middle separating the engine side from the ECU side. I'm not really sure how the ECU was getting any signal because it was basically open to the atmosphere.

Well I do believe I fixed my issue. On a side note she seems to have more giddy up ad go now. I guess that's what happens when the timing is correct lmao

Well its not going to hurt it and it's a simple swap back if it makes anything worse

On mine the other side just had a foam filter that crumbled when I touched it. I'm not sure what the difference is between the sides but if I were you I would swap sides just to see what happens

Leanburn is always the default excuse when they can't figure out what's going on. Try to figure out which wires it is that you wiggle to get it to stop clicking and check the connections on those wires. It could be corrosion or just an old connector that has gotten loose over time
