Questions about the Magnum small blocks

The magnum will fit, you should just need the correct mounts. There are ways to get the fuel injection to work if you have the whole harness and computer. The auto transmission that would be behind it is a A-518 4 speed overdrive automatic. It will fit our cars too, but you must remove some...

    Gas tanks !

would also fit the late 77 and 78's just would have to bump the trunk floor just a little for the rollover valve and extend the vent hose to the rollover valve. Kevin

You should black out behind where the grille will be on the radiator support. That is the way it was done at the factory on every car except black and dark blue. Usually a satin black is used.

Rust free, dent free 1980 Volare fenders

They won't fit yours unless you are goint to swap the whole front end. see my previous post above. Look for 76 -79 fenders.

Rust free, dent free 1980 Volare fenders

1980 are different from the 76 to 79 fenders. These fenders will not fit without changing over the whole front end. They will bolt to the car, but you need everything to change it to look like a 1980 on a 76-to 79 car: fenders, grille, bumpers, hood and corner pieces. Plus probably bumper...

I would clear out the engine bay fix all the bad parts and coat with epoxy primer. then give everything else a good sanding and a good coat of paint. front fender and cowl areas are prone to rust so clean them well. I will be pulling my motor soon to fix the engine bay up like new. Kevin

    ripped off bad

That is the precise reason for this thread and similar threads on other Mopar sites. To let everyone know of loser Mark and not to deal with him. If he really was the type of person these people keep defending him as he would step up to the plate and refund Joe's money immediately. He must...

    ripped off bad

sorry Scotty it is everyones business at this point. It is so they Know to keep away from him. Just wait till the day you wind up on the wrong side of him. It doesn't take much. Just give somebody info on this site that you learned from his site. That is all I did and I got banned. There...

    ripped off bad

One of those 100 members, many who are also on this and other F-body sites need to get on his ass and tell him what a loser he is. They just need to be ready to be banned from his site.

    Dual Exhaust System Kits

Any F-body built after 4/1/77 has the M-body style trunk floor and gas tank. No more hump and no more spare tire well either.

    Dual Exhaust System Kits

My plan is to use the JEGS A-body kit on my 77 Aspen. Mine is a late build 77 that does not have the hump on the gas tank or the Spare tire well. It is just like the M-bodies, so I will move the tank over one rib. My tank does not have the little hump in the center of the tank, that is for...

    OK, Let's talk Dakota frames...

Ramenth, what i have read is that the frame itself is ok, it is the suspension pieces that are not up to using as a daily driver. Ok for a show or drag car. Plus the cost is outrageous. I have no problem with the torsion bar setup, just would prefer a rack over the old gear. I think mopar...

    8 3/4 swap

Ok, that looks neat, but has anybody used it on one of our cars. I am pretty sure on the trucks that they use the K-frames on they use different motor mounts. I think the engine sits up higher so there would be room for the rack.

    OK, Let's talk Dakota frames...

Eric, I have looked for Rack and pinion options, but they all entail changing out the K-frame to one like the Alter-K-tion ones. And from what I understand those are only really good for occasional use, not if you used it more like a daily driver. they just won't hold up. The thing with...

    8 3/4 swap

I used to get AutoWeek Mag and it was one of those spy photo things. it was kinda like a aspen wagon with the top cut off and some sort of squared off front like the dakota became. I tried to find my Mags recently, but I think the wife got rid of some stuff while I was away on a trip...

    OK, Let's talk Dakota frames...

A lot of the discussion comes up with the dakota and m-bodies as the M was used in early design studies of the dakota development. Back in the 80's when they were considering a small pickup, they were using the M Chassis to see about a unibody small pickup like the FWD Rampage they had at the...

    8 3/4 swap

I have got my Aspen R/T to finish up before I would try something like that. Maybe when I finally move out of NJ to Pennsylvania in about 7 years and get some property. Then I will have more space and more time. Kevin

    8 3/4 swap

that would be too much work. you would have to try to remove most of the unibody frame rails from an m to get it to fit and then basically weld the two together. Otherwise the M would be sitting up real high off the road. I would love to find a way to do Rack and Pinion without changing...

    8 3/4 swap

Bill, your right about the m chassis was originally being used as a test mule. When they were first developing the truck it was suppose to be a Uni-body truck like the little rampage, but rear wheel drive. Later development put a frame under it. I now looks to be the way they are going with...

Cleaned out my garage to make room for another car

Eric, I guess the box made a noticeable difference in the steering. Mopar Action has had some articles on two new things from Firm Feel to tighten up the front end. they are pieces to better control the flex in the pitman and idler arms. I might check them out when I rebuild the front end...

    Auto Shifting Issues

I would use the ATF+3 or +4 for the fluid. That is the fluid that was installed later on in these trannies. The +4 is really just a synthetic version of the fluid. Kevin
