WANTED 1978 Aspen front frame rails repair

trying to source/price parts for a 78 aspen i am trying to buy, it needs the front frame rails repaired, seems like most of the sites that make new rails or "caps" have discontinued them for these years? Is it just as easy to make them ourselves? or try to find a donor car? any info welcome! thanks Darren

Depending on your fabrication skills and equipment, building them yourself is a good option. Other is finding rust free used rails. One of the best guys for mint used is, unfortunately, no longer with us.

Around 2005 or so. I bought the caps from Auto Rust Technicians and,,,,,,the weren't worth the box they came in to be honest. Looked like something made by a 6 year old, so you aren't missing anything by them being discontinued.

pretty straight forward repair ,so shouldnt be an issue ,not much available up here rust free anyways thanks for info!
