Want to change the gears in my car to either 2.94 or 3.21 from the 2.20. I know there is something unique about this axle. Where is a good place to purchase ? Thanks

To go from 2.20 to 2.94 or 3.21, you also need a carrier for 2.71 or lower (numerically higher) gear, (disclaimer) IIRC.

Since you have to replace the carrier, now is the right time to also upgrade to a sure grip.

Give the Doctor a call. I used used tons of his parts over the years. Had a Ford D60 cut down to '66 B Body specs and he supplied the axles and rear disc break kit for the last build. Entire thing dropped right together.

Call him anyways. He'll know where to get it and make it all fit.
