8.75 swap backing plates question..

Can I swap the 8 1/4 backing plates over to the 8.75 when I swap rear-ends????

67 8.75 into 76 Roadrunner

I've always heard they're the same or at least fit.

They work. You may have to enlarge the bottom hole in the plate

I did a 7.25" to a 8.75" a number of years ago. I was able to swap the entire rear drum setup over. No problems.
