A running driving evil looking fury for 700 bucks

That volt regulator issue might be the rattle can paint preventing a good return path to ground.

As these cars age, the resistance to ground grows and volt regulators don't like it.

I'd drive it for sure. Just my type: not showroom perfect, but menacing enough to get SUVs to move over. Paint the front doors white and print "To Protect And Serve" on them
