I remember this frustration from years ago when I did ball joints on a different M body. Doesn't seem to be clear information on threaded or press in upper and lower ball joints on 1989 Diplomat AHB. I know Chrysler changed from one to the other at some point but I don't know when. I went to Mevotech's site and it shows threaded upper screw in part #MK772 and "without threads" for lower joint MK7069.
Can you press in a threaded one? I have a feeling that's what I did in past but it has been a long time.
