Hello,
I’m pretty clueless when it comes to wheels/tire fitment and was hoping someone could help answer a question.
I currently have a stock 205/75/15 wheel tire combo on an 89 Fifth Avenue, there’s a set of 245/60/14 Mag wheels and tires near by me for a great price. Would I be able to clear that extra diameter and width?
Edit: backspacing is about 4”-4.25”

A 14 inch rim may have issues clearing the front calipers. Test fit before purchase.

They should fit if you have 10" rotors. Pretty sure with 11" you need 15" wheels.
The 245/60R14 will actually be 1 1/2" shorter (25 1/2" vs 27") but the width (sidewall width, not tread) is 9 1/2" vs 8" for the 205/75R15. Those dimensions are approximate of course and may vary between tire makes.

I'm told, although I haven't checked, that 14" wheels will even fit over the 11.875" rotors with some judicious grinding of the caliper castings. 14" wheels will definitely fit if the car has 10" rotors. That's how all Fbodies came from the factory when disc brakes were involved. I have 15" wheels from a '76 NYB on my '79 wagon.

You won't know without a test fit. I tried 14" rallyes on one of my Le Barons and it wouldn't fit in the front.

I had Spyder Motor Wheels on my 80' and put a thin spacer on the front to clear the caliper.
