Got all my super Six conversion parts. Just need the throttle cable. What's an aftermarket length and/or part #?

That was my first "go to", and I did not find it.

I was reading on the Slant Six forum it was the same as the V8 cable. I don`t know for sure.

All the answers rolled up in one article. Thanks

I went back to rockauto and the cable is listed under interior. 318 2bbl.

I had compiled this list (top part) from a Pioneer (brand name) catalog and lower part from internet sources.
I’ve not made any measurements to verify the “length data” – but don’t have any reason to doubt the data to not be correct.

Both segments are sorted by length (column "F")

I have not owned a /6 before (worked on plenty, though) – nor have I personally measured any throttle cables for length.

All I did was make note of what I found on the internet and in a Pioneer throttle cable catalog - for my own reference (Big block, 6-pack and for fuel injection possibilities).

I do know that a /6 1-bbl and 2-bbl cables are different length – so a cable will be needed in a 2-bbl (Super 6) changeover (is not even close to being long enough to fit).

I’ve heard stories of other forum members using a /6 1-bbl throttle cable when replacing with a V8 engine changeover – without troubles – but I suspect a /6 2-bbl cable might be too long to work with a V8.

Its a good thing that this info is available and now comes to the internet. Thanks BUDW

By coincidence I am currently working on the super / 6. If you are still interested, I could measure the length tomorrow.

Its the 318 2bbl length and its on rockauto.
