Would anyone consider Loaning/Renting me the Bushing Install tool?
I could send you a PayPal $150 and when you get it back from me, you send me the money minus your rent fee.

I had one and sold it some years back. I was under the impression that a aftermarket bushing (not mopar) didn`t need the tool. You may want to check.

From my limited knowledge only the DuraBond AD-584 does not need Burnished.
All others do. I talked to the Local dealer mechanic, and he said he recommended they all be burnished, or the surface may prematurely wear the intermediate shaft.

The only Installer tools I am aware of is the SPX C-3053, Proform 66488, and OTC 6293.
the best price I have found is in the neighborhood of $97
Thats a bit high for me for a One time tool use.

I did just discover with my Google-Fu skills, that Hughes Engines will rent it.
Seems like you Pay $199.99 plus shipping, then when you return it, they refund $164.99
For my situation it would be $35 plus shipping 2 times. This may be the best method to use the tool.

So I've got what you are looking for, would be willing to send it your way, but given that I am across the border I suspect the shipping will plain suck!!!

On top of it, when the thing is coming back you need to fill out customs paperwork with it so that I do not get hit with Duty fees...yeah, no joke, happened before, keeps on hapenning unless you literally figure out the TAX treaty importation code...and it better be right!

I think the HughesEngines approach may be the cheapest way to go about it.

Thank you guys.
I went ahead and bought a Proform 66488
It worked flawlessly and only took a few minutes to install the bushing.
The hardest part was leaning over the fenders.
I now would like to sell the tool for $80 and I will pay shipping.
I prefer paypal.
