I realize its a promo piece to get the dealers on board with selling a smaller car, but do they actually think that the Volare is a good handler because it has the same body roll as a Newport? Both cars in the handling part of the movie are in some serious need for much bigger sway bars, and saying that the Volare handles as well as a huge, undersprung, underdamped ocean liner sized 1975 Newport is not a real selling point in my mind.

Even my Fifth has a certain "stew like" quality when it comes to handling.
I guess they were trying to push that the F bodies were a "big car ride".

Definite emphasis on duplicating big car ride. Explains the rubber K member bushings to a large degree, as well as the iso-clamp for the rear axle.

Wasn't that in one of their ad campaigns?
Something like "Aspen....the mid size car with the big car ride"?
