Hello All,

I'm looking for a cruise control stalk for my '88 Caravelle (aka Gran Fury), like the one in the first picture. The one I'm looking for has a 4 flat pin male connector that plugs into the female connector in second picture (factory wiring harness). I can NOT use the cruise control stalk with a connector like the one in third picture (it uses two male bullet connectors as shown and two female bullet connectors).

Appreciate any feedback you may have.

Hello Stroked408,

Thank you for your email. I'm a little concerned that the control stalk you have is for an earlier series than mine (1988). I base this on the connector in your pictures, it is the style that was used in the '70s. The colour coding does align with the 1988 factory wiring diagram I have; BR/RD, WT, YL/RD and DB/WT (factory diagram shows WT/RD instead of WT on the control) which adds to my confusion. I attached a picture showing the factory colour coding chart.

I have two questions;

1. Do you know what year (which years) of vehicle(s) this control stalk fits (the document indicates June 1980)?

2. Do you own a 'continuity meter' (Ohm meter), to measure which wires are connected as each switch is moved? The picture below shows the factory 'continuity chart'

I will thank you in advance for any 'detective work' you do on my behalf.
