Where are people buying custom driveshafts, local or online, and if online where?

I had a 727 giving me issues so swapped in a 904 I had around and obviously need a new longer driveshaft. It is a fairly mild built 360 bracket car, I'd buy someone else's if they've upgraded. TIA

Just like leaf springs I've always found local large truck shops to do driveshaft work.

All depends on the power and intended use for the car if you have one made by a local shop or not. I wanted a driveshaft/yoke/u-joint assy that wouldn't be the weak link, lol. I'm sure it's overkill because the tires are the actual weak link (traction I mean).

I've had driveshafts made for daily driver type cars by local machine shops, and they always were just fine.

CCI Drive Line built mine brand new when I swapped axles last year. They're in Algonac Michigan.

I can't speak for all shops but I'd trust a driveshaft made by any truck shop I've used just as much or more then most online sources.

Thanks all, that's where I've gone before local truck / driveline shop. Guess I'll be going back. I honestly was trying to be a bit economical shall we say aa I'll probably go back to the 727 when I get it rebuilt.

Get your measurement and call Strange.
They are not as expensive as you might think , their turn around is plenty quick and you are getting the good stuff.
Send them your trans yoke to balance.
They don't sell a 904 Yoke , so I had to send them my Mark Williams piece when they built my first one.
That's been nearly ten years and they still don't offer one , so the demand must not justify tooling up for one.
But they are very easy to work with.
I've bought three others since and am very happy with the results.
