I recently purchased an'81 Imperial. Body & interior are near mint. Mostly (deplorable) factory paint,360 crate motor,R134A conversion w/ALL new components(except comp),new rad,leaf springs,etc... I haven't decided whether to install T-Tops,or RB stroker w/4 or 5 spd conversion. Does anyone know if the chassis would take both mod's w/o a cage? I can fab sub frame con's & install. I could have sworn I saw a pair of Cordoba T Tops for $200 plus additional parts last night. I have500 more ?'s, but before this becomes a book, I'll say adieu.

Whats your location?

T-Tops + man trans + big block (-cage)= PRETZEL LMAO

Even trans brake in an auto will twist the car. Kinked quarter panels, 6x9 speakers falling out of the package tray, and rear window totally seperating from car as the flexing takes its toll. Frame conn help, but above 500hp, using a man trans and with traction.....You will need a cage.

Thanks, I kinda figured. Of course that's why I have (3) Imperials! One has a sunroof that would probably like the BB better! One is for parts to make both livable rides. When I feel comfortable navigating the web site, I will begin asking my many ?'s that no one seems to have answers for. I have many parts that everyone is looking for,however I really don't like selling them. I would much rather trade for what I need because I hate setting prices on things.

Hello, Brunswick Oh (or Brunstucky as we refer to it). I figured it would pretzel but, doesn't hurt to ask. Met Modoba this weekend, totally cool. He says I have the ultimate sleeper '81 Imp. It needs a few things, but oh well. I guess l'll stick w/a small block, & if l can find an overdrive trans l will.
