Hey everyone, I’m back and with a question that I thought would be an easy answer but getting conflicting results. I am putting a headers on my engine, the engine has aluminum heads, I’m putting exhaust studs on the heads. Do I use loctite on the studs or anti seize on the studs? Thanks for any help!

Before you install those studs make sure that the headers can still be installed while in the car. You might have to use bolts. I recommend Stage 8.

Just trying to save you some potential grief. I couldn't use studs on the passenger side when I put 340 manifolds on my small block. I usually use blue loctite on exhaust studs and it even seals heli-coiled threads.

Thank you so much! That solves it for me. Have a great day!

Whose heads are those? I have Eddies on my 512 and simple 12pt header bolts with split washers never back out. I've left more than a few ARP stainless bolts one road before.

What did you do for headers? I never found a set that fit and ended up having them made for my car.

I have 440 source stealth heads on it and I have an older set of hooker super comps that I restored. I ran into a gentleman at Mopars in the park this past year with a 81 Cordoba with a 511 that he races and he has super comps on his and he said it wasn’t fun getting them in but they fit. He had to cut out the factory steering rod and go manual steering for them to work (which I was already expecting to do.) so I took the pictures that I could. Luckily at the show I found a pair for $250 and sandblasted them and painted them. Now just waiting for it to get a better in my garage so I can install them.
