Hey there,

About two years ago, after watching to many VGG, I decided to buy my first old school US car. I went for this poor '77 SW Slant6 3speed automatic that was out of the road since 15 years.
The trans was toasted, it was staying in drive all the time. (I got run over the first time I got it to start hehe)

It was sold with a totally rebuild trans and I had to change it. it was a lot of work with the minimum tools and space that I have.

Anyway it's back on the road now and I love it. There's still a few small repair to be done, especially the grille.

Best from Paris FR.
Sorry for bad english

Welcome! Don't worry, the grilles are almost always broken

Welcome. My mother had one very much like that. The yellow was not as faded. I am surprised at how well the wood grain decals are holding up. Yes, the grilles started cracking almost as soon as they were manufactured and just got worse over the years.

No need to apologize for bad English, native speakers butcher it all the time.

...Proper English belongs to the Queen. lol....
Hey, hey...and the Canadians, eh?

BTW: Welcome to the club, hopefully someone can keeep an eye out for a decent shaped grille on this side of the ocean...ship it slow and safe and it may just be worth it!
