Help with cam selection..

I've used the 2nd cam you listed in a 1983 318 with stock springs. Worked well. I did have valve float above 6500 RPMs, lol

Get ahold of Comp Cams either via their website and/or call them. They'll ask specifics such as compression ratio, tire height, gear ratio, intended use, et cetera and give you a recommendation

The Comp cams 260H is the cam to use, for the low compression 318. Thats what is in my 318, with headers, intake, and Thermo-Quad. Totally different beast. Sounds good too.

U can never over cam an engine, lol, if u do, just add something to overcome that miss match. Like a 250 shot of N2O, or a blower or a trans-brake to get u over that off the line bog.... Or just add all three of listed secrets and enjoy ur cam. Lol
