I’m in the process of going over my car and I’ve hit a snag on trying to remove the HVAC unit from the dash. I’ve removed the bolts that I can see, but my FSM doesn’t show where the rest of the bolts are at.

Any pointers?

(I’ve tried the search feature already, but I didn’t find what I was looking for.)

DId you get all of the nuts in the engine compartment? Don't remember off hand how many there are, sorry. Take the blower motor housing out first, then the plenum. One of the nuts is down behind the left head.

ahhhhhhhhh.....no. I'll check those either tomorrow morning or Saturday.
Going off of memory, there are a couple Allen screws holding a piece for the AC onto the firewall. I had all the bolts for the box off but couldn't figure that little AC piece out until I got angry and used the hammer/bar the beat it to death..then I saw the bolt head..haha

That's the expansion valve. Yes, it has to come off also, forgot about that. Two recessed allen head bolts hold it to the evaporator coil.

Yeah, that's it. I had quite a few names for it at the time, but couldn't remember the actual name.

It’s a monster compared to the unit that is going in to replace it.
