I ended up putting $600 into it New carb, distributor, GM HEI module and coil, plugs and wires, valve cover gaskets, and some odds & ends. It runs beautifully now, and feels reasonably grunty like a V8 should. It's going to be a fun project.

I always expect to put about that much $$$ into any car I get. There's always something wrong and you never know what the last owner neglected to fix.

That's one of my favorite colors for those years. It looks nice all shined up but it's getting rarer to find these cars now in non weathered shape.
