Mirada rear side windows

Has anyone successfully modified the rear side windows, to roll down or power windows. Thanks.

I'm following this. That would be cool to do. You would think the window regulator out of a 68-70 charger would work...

I've tried to find a way, but the only way I can see to do it is, by removing the quarter window and storing it like t-tops.

I think it would look better without the window in.

So do I. Chrysler could've easily made that window functional, but chose not to for some reason. plus it would make it alot easier to take the chrome trim off the roof.

Which side window is being discussed, the one just behind the door window, or the one in the sail panel?

A possible snafu I can see to making the windows operable is the rear wheel well. Doesn't hardly look like enough room for a regulator and glass to roll down into the quarter.

I measured, not enough room to go straight down. I was looking at rotating the window down or making it slide back.

is it because of the wheel well being there?

Yes, the wheel well is in the way to go straight down.

I'm trying to remember what car had 1/4 windows that sort of rotated when they went down for the exact same reason (wheel well). I know I saw it personally, MANY moons ago, just can't remember what it was on. Seems to me the top would rotate to the rear as the glass went down so it kind of sat on top of the wheel well.

Or the window goes part of the way down like the old sedans from the 90's on up. But it would kind of defeats the purpose.
