Hello. Just joined the site. I don't have a F M or J body car myself, but I do have an appreciation for them. Actually, I have a Duster that my son and I have been restoring.

I'm also part of Inland Mopars out of Southern California. Most members are from what's known as the Inland Empire.

Well, hopefully I can learn a thing or two here from you guys. :)

Hi Joey -- welcome to our little part of internet heaven.... so to speak.

Well we bought the '74 Duster in 2013 and it started life as a 318 with a 3 speed manual (on the floor). Now it sports the following:
  • Warmed up LA 360 built by IMM Engines in Indio, CA with a Comp Cams XE268H cam, Air Gap intake, EQ Magnum heads and 9.6:1 compression, Doug's headers making about 403HP on the dyno and gobs of torque.
  • It has a 4 speed with a pistol grip with the factory 8 1/4 open rear end (that has to go!).
  • I repainted the Burnished Red and replaced the factory stripes that I got from ChallengerGary (over on FABO).
  • The interior went from Parchment to Black. I'm still putting the finishing touches on the interior. The headline was not fun and still doesn't fit right. It's a one piece ABS headliner.
  • It's running steel wheels of a Chrylser 300 with spacers in the back to make it fit right, but I have a B body rear end that I plan to toss in to fix that (since the B bodies are wider)
  • I need to rebuild the suspension with a more ProTouring goal.
Here's some pics!

Thanks!

Thanks! Are Aspens F M or J? I do like those, but they sort of look like Dusters.

Other than suspension, the next thing to do is paint those wheels Argent Silver and add Rallye caps and it will look so much better.

Awesome Duster. Great Work on it. I got a 76 Dart Sport in my line up, we traded a calf for, right now it's still in rough shape and is the wife's daily driver. Haven't had much time to do stuff on her with all the damn surgeries and lack of funds but she is getting there. Here's mine after getting the Rally Rims on last week. Finally.
