Gathering parts to get the Volare to pass emissions inspection (plugs, wires, air filter, etc.). The various auto parts websites also list an oxygen sensor for it (225 slant six). I've gone under the hood and under the car and haven't been able to find one (or where one would go) along the entire exhaust. Service manual also makes no mention of an oxygen sensor. Assuming it's falsely listed online, but wanted to check with those more knowledgeable - did these cars have oxygen sensors?

1979 Volare and Aspen models equipped with the 225 engine, one barrel carburetor, and California emissions package included an oxygen sensor, an electronic feedback carburetor, additional modifications, and components to interface with the Electronic Spark Control. Other applications in 1979 did not use this oxygen sensor, etc.

Following are select images from the 27 page 1979 Technical Service Bulletin (TSB), number 14-05-79 about the system. If equipped, the sensor is positioned in the exhaust manifold as shown in the diagram and connected to pin #4 of the single row connector at the combustion computer.

Thanks for the info. Mine is not a California car - explains why I couldn't find it!
