if you have power on what is supposed to be a ground wire, its usually because there is a poor or no ground.

I don't have power at the wire, just the relay terminal with the three pin connector unplugged. The second I plug it in, the power goes away.

GOT IT!! I got to studying on the diagram where I couldn't figure out where the extra red wire went, I ran a jumper between the two red wires (in picture) and hit the switch. A great weight was lifted from my shoulders! Lol
