Hey guys:

Does anyone have a part number or source for the nylon bushings that reside on either end of the "relay rod" assembly on an auto trans M-body? To refresh, this is the part that one end sits in a small bracket bolted to the side of the trans and the other end sits in a small bracket bolted to the frame rail.

Thanks.

I may have a couple new mopar ones. I can check if you want. The mopar number should be 3575434

There are 3 different bushings used on ‘87’s, so I made a printout for you to make sure which one you are needing:

Item # 4 and 11 (blue arrows) are the Z-bar pivots (one of each).

Item # 1 (orange arrows) are the rod pop-in retainers. These can get rather brittle and reuse of them is iffy. Dodge says to replace every time the rod is popped out. Back when cars were relativity new, I could reuse them without issues. Now days, most of them crumble when trying to disengage the rod from bushing.

Grommet 3575333 (Item #1) MSRP (Manufactures Suggested Retail Price) $5.85 (US) each
Bushing 3575434 (Item # 4) MSRP (US) $2.45 – but is discontinued but some dealers might have one in stock (maybe).
Grommet 5211845 (Item # 11) MSRP (US) $7.10

Hopefully this helps.
