I fell over when I saw this. It is a 79 Roadrunner. Column shift Automatic. Rear Sway bar 4BBL 360. The guy is a few towns over from me. He will be joining shortly.

He saved this from the crusher.

I've driven my worse 76 as a daily driver. The guy is a moparian 100% and sees this 79 as a car worth the effort.

As for clueless: Not one mopar got any awards. I saw folks pushing cars into theirs spots. I'll give the clue by initials ....... GM. Then there were some riced up jelly bean cars. I almost pissed down my own back when the miata got a trophy. And not a V8 stuffed miata. I mean, that was just ridiculous. I had the Roadkill 24 hours of Lemons on my tablet, but there were plenty of junk imports, Pepboyed putt putt 4 door toyota, Chevy Cobalt SS. Who in the F thought that a Cobalt SS was something to show. And that POS got a trophy too. I never expect a trophy, but these bozos should not insult folks that wrench a car from the crusher and get it on the road. That 79 Roadrunner was given last rites. In 36 years that Cobalt will be diet Pepsi bottles 3 times over.

I think I just puked in my mouth a little.
A freakin Vagiata???!!!
What a joke.

All is not so bad. I have some need parts for our new 79 Roadrunner's owner. That runner is going to get right for sure. I'm stoked and it is someone else's car.

I've run into that also. Back in the early '90's a brand new '92 Crapmaro got best of something trophy at a show. Other than being detailed to the hilt, it was bone stock. WTF? Fortunately the shows around here (back when it didn't rain every freaking time a show was scheduled.............) get very few if any rice burners and Fast and Furious types. I like to call them "Slow and Delirious".

I have no problem with a tastefully done, well built ricer coming to the show but the Civics with the hubcaps removed and the coil springs heated until the suspension is on the snubbers and fart can sticking out the back,,,,,,,,,,,,,,NO WAY! To be fair, I've seen some non rice that shouldn't be there either. You know, like a clean but rotted "survivor" '83 Buick LeSabre 4 door or similar thing. Just because you put "COLLECTOR" plates on it doesn't mean it's a car to put in a show.

For saving the car from an untimely death, you get a huge THANK YOU from all of us!

Still trying to wrap my head around it. Seriously, somebody took that car to the salvage yard? I suppose, you either "get it" or you don't. They obviously didn't.

I inherited the disease for mopars from my Dad. My Dad was also a hobby photographer. I got that bug too. Of the 4 cameras last night (Me and each of my 3 kids - working for pizza and icecream), I've got video and stills that will take me a week to sort through. So here was camera1:

. Camera 3 was my other kid's phone and those were the pics I first posted because of the fast upload. The hi def Video takes very long to compress and upload.

I agree with you, the f-m-j bodies are WAY underrated.
Hey you too? My dad was, and is, a Mopar only guy and like father like son! Actually, HIS dad was a Mopar only guy starting with the first new car he bought at the ripe old age of 24,,,,,,1916 Dodge Brothers(!)
