Tilt or non tilt column for M or J

I am looking for a floor shift column from a 80-81 M-Body
or a 80-84 J-Body.
I am doing a 4 speed Conversion in my 80 Diplomat Coupe.
I thought that the 79 F-Body standard shift column would
work till someone pointed out that the dimmer switch is
on the floor in 79 and on the column in 80 and up.
I have a real nice non tilt floor shift column from a 79 Volare
if someone is in the same boat & wants to trade.

80 was the change over year for the F column, it has both the HL dimmer and the wiper controls on the stalk.
I have an 80 F floor shift tilt column with cruise.

That sounds like the one needed.
Someone said that the dimmer switch box on the side of the column would get in the way of the clutch pedal.
do you know if this is true?

Update: I bought one from F body Deconstructor Jim and it is in Excellent shape.
His packaging job was perfect. I was concerned that the turn signal lever that holds
the Hi/Lo beam,wiper & cruise switches might get damaged in shipping. He took extra care
in securing that area and padding the rest of the column. I am very happy with this
deal from Jim. I highly recomend doing business with him. He also found me the cheapest
shipping rate and got it shipped quickly. 5 Stars to Jim!
