I just got done replacing the o ring seal on the speedometer adapter, and was looking into trans fluids. I know it uses dexron, But are there other choices to use like the mopar atf+ or later dexron? Any suggestions?

Id run ATF+4.
I've taken out the torque converters friction clutch plate by topping off with Dexron.
Other times topping off resulted in slipping. Never with type F, you will have several opinions but why not stick with ATF+4?
Walmart and several auto stores have off brand ATF+4 brands.

i changed engines and had to refill trans, i used 3 quarts of type F because a article i read said type f had a better friction surface,, or something like that.. thought i would try it.. 2 years later and trans still going strong. trans is a 904

If the only wires going to the transmission are for the backup lamp/neutral safety switch, Type F is the way to go for performance and longest life, but expect firmer shifts than with Dexron/Mercon or ATF+4. When you start getting into electronic shifting you'll want to go with ATF+4.
