Well it's time to get some wheels and tires for the Diplomat. I am looking for some input and suggestions on sizes. And pictures if you have any. Also does anyone know the factory rim and tire size of the Diplomat cop cars? I am currently leaning toward the cop wheels. Thanx

Cop steelies are 15x7, a lot of guys run either a 255 or a 275-60-15 on the rear and something like a 225, 235 or 245-60-15 on the front. I will be using 275's on the rear and 245's on the front. Look at pictures of Bremerics Aspen he run's the 245-275 combo. I'm not sure what the factory Dippy cop car tire was. Purdy ain't they lol.

Civie stock painted rims and cop doggies here
Always liked the look
And as you can see by Eric's cop rims
They look sweet body color too.
As for tires...

Running 215 70 15 front and back
Looks stock. That will no doubt change though

Stock police tire was a 215/70R-15. If you want to go with a 60 series, I believe a 245/60-15 is the same diameter. Stock steel rims are also 15X7's.

These are 15x8 on all four corners, 235/70 front, 255/70 rear. Be careful going 8" wide rim up front, backspacing is critical or you'll end up grinding wheel against A-arm. Ask me how I know...

Thanx for all the input, the pictures really do help. I am leaning toward the 15x7 cop wheels and 215/70R 15 tires on all 4 corners right now.I will let you know I decide and post some pictures when I get them on.

Hi,

I am probably the odd man out here, but the Thrashstars on this page look really nice to me:

I would think the 17"X7" for the front, and the 17"X8" for the rear. With the correct low profile tires, they should work without messing up the speedometer/odometer. I've always liked the star pattern wheels, especially when polished.

Kostas

P.S. I first saw these wheels advertised here.
