I do not have any good pictures (or I would post them).
These pictures are from my ’82 parts manual – which should be the same part numbers.

For reference - The J-body washer system:

There are Four different wipe motors used on FMJ cars (maybe five . . . ). Do you have a picture of your replacement wiper motor?

Before installing that wiper motor – I would highly recommend adding a good layer of paint to it first (on both sides).
I “believe” the gray is only primer, and if so, it will start to rust (and look crappy) in a short time.

If I’m wrong and that is gray paint, then disregard my statement (above).

The area not to paint would be the three rubber grommets/silver inserts (or at least the silver insert with copper ground strap attached to it), the electrical connector area and the area (threads & shaft) where the wiper transmission attaches to it (on back side).

Pull the silver insert(s) out and the rubber bushing(s) will come out easily. Reverse to re-install.

Are you doing a resto or do you want functioning wipers? Mine.broke on my Mirada, so I improvised. I got a trans assembly from a 5th Avenue. Be sure to get the arm from the motor. Then you will have to measure the center distance between the motor arm and the farthest bushing. Take the arm from the 5th, cut out the difference, and Might weld it back together. Add a half inch to measurement to make sure your wipers will park. That's how I fixed mine. Replacement bushings available at any cheap parts store. Look for Help brand.
