I have a new build 360. Presently my Aspen has 318. Looking at Napa parts book the brackets and rubber mounts are the same for the 318 and 360. Is there a difference with the brackets and the rubber isolators? THX

The drivers side is in fact different between the 318 and 360. You can go cheap, use the 318 mounts and shim the difference with washers (what myself and others have done), or try to find someone with actual 360 mounts available or spend like $230 on Schumacher 360 mounts.

Schumacher link:'73+ A,B,C,F,M,J-Body 273/318 or 340/360 Replacement Kit

Note they list two different mount options for the small blocks, 274/318 mounts or the 340/360 mounts.

Cheers.

The mount is different but parts stores and suppliers of the regular priced stuff have been selling the same one for both applications for 20+ years.
When I did mine they were still using separate part numbers but it was the same 318 one you ended up getting for either number.

As mentioned, all you need is a spacer to make up for the 360 mounting lugs which are closer together than the 318 lugs. Don't forget that the 360 is externally balanced and requires either a 360 balanced torque converter used with your stock flex plate or a 360 balanced flex plate used with your 318 torque converter. This photo came from the old Motor Trend Stealth Bomber article.

Reggie is, as always, spot on.

I will say this: for my liking I would prefer to use some nice thick washers to give that mating area a larger surface 'connection'. There is something about that thin little spacer in this installation that just doesn't put my mind at ease! lol

I agree. I would opt for washers or a solid spacer to support for that rear block lug - especially with a well built motor.
