Hedman shorties are in. Time to call the shop.

This was a bust. Air injection holes :mumum:, didn't even think of those . Not worth the effort with the existing combo, so the manifold remain. That being said these shorties will be used on the Aspen. I'll burn the old ones for initial start-up.

New tires on the 23rd for the Mirada as a consolation prize to make me feel better.

Mirada has to wait for the headers until I start on it's replacement engine.

You can run a 1/4X20 tap thru the smog ports and insert a grub screw to block them off.......

I know. Not worth the effort..lol. Weather is getting better up here and need to get knee deep into the Aspen. The pile of parts, and I mean pile is starting to irritate the other half.

just used pliers to get the lead projectile out and hammered it in the hole. We were surprised it didn't melt!

The dog was even happy!

Yea he's a spaz. Forgot to mention 245/60r14 all around.

Tire guy said when the tires came in they knew they were not going on something they normally see in the shop. :icon_compress:

Also last weekend the Bouchillon's (Performance) kickdown cable and accel bracket went on. The kit went on fairly easy and I had to make allowances for the Street Demon base in regards to the accel bracket.

From my email to them after the install.

Got the Kickdown kit installed and adjusted works great. The car is a Dodge Mirada/318 Street Demon Carb/A998 Trans. I did not use your throttle lever adapter. All I did was enlarge the hole for the modified OE stud. The street demon has three places for a (your) kickdown stud. I used the hole for the TH350 as labelled by Demons instructions. I did use your cable bracket 3395 and took some creative modding (not the fault of the bracket.) "I" miscut and had to mount it as show. Still secure, however, I will get another bracket to make the right cut.

Everything fit well under the car. However on a column shift, your return spring bracket would not work. Maybe it's my car's body style/year, but the bracket for the shifter linkage has a tab that bends through that hole. I routed the spring differently.

When everything was together and locked down I just used the sliding piece to get the right place for correct shifting and kickdown.

Great kit.

Yeah, good luck finding a passenger's side mirror. I've been looking for almost 2 years now. I finally decided I'm just going with an LCD screen and backup camera in it's place. Don't know what else to do at this point. If you do find a source for the mirrors, please let me know!

I've been watching ebay for awhile... the NOS ones that I've seen on there have been driver's side ones. Unless I missed the passenger's side ones, but they must have had them listed wonky if I missed them. :| Not trying to be discouraging, I hope you find one, just saying, these aren't easy to find at this point. Those and the windshields for these cars are hen's teeth.
