tires

The largest size in practical terms would be 255/60R15, which are the same overall diameter as the OEM. I had pretty good luck with that size in a squad, but I don't see them working well with the civilian/retail car suspension.

Many state police agencies ran the Ford/Chevy size of 225/70R15, those were a bit taller, but worked fine - just a slight running up front, lock to lock.. The later Chevy size of 235/70R15 do rub pretty hard, front and rear.

Another thing to consider is how the front suspension will react to tires larger than these. Besides the increase in the already-huge turning radius, It's hard enough keeping these things somewhat aligned with factory tire sizes. Adding idiotic rims or tire sizes will really mess things up.
 
Im gonna use the police 15x7 rims 7 inches wide-- I think a 4.5 off set I remember the police running the Good Year RS-A tires which were nice but not sure if they make them anymore
 
235-60-15 on the front and 255-60-15 on the back won't rub. You can fit 275-60-15 on the rear with the correct offset, but it's close and you need to measure. Anything larger than on the front and it'll rub the torsion bars and K at full lock with a 4.5" BS.

They're shorter. The series measurement is the percentage of width, 60% the width of 255. These cars are geared ridiculously high from the factory, so a shorter tire is probably what you want.
 
I’ve run 255/70/15s on a stock wagon with a/6 with no problems whatsoever, I like big and littles when it comes to tire size. Probably 225/70/15 on the front, I had these wheel and tires on several vehicles including a mid seventies short box with a snotty small block and 4.10 gears.

Wagons were geared lower and /6 even lower still. OP's car is going to have a 2.24:1.

We can sit here and argue about it until the sun burns out. Our frames of reference are grounded in different times. The interstate is now 70MPH and Kia shitboxes will do 14 second quarters.

OP is just going to have to decide what they want out of the car.
 
I should be getting the car this week wanna do a oil change on it should I use just 10-40 weight or should I use synthetic what filter is best for the 318 I heard Fram is garbage now
 
when i go to amazon to buy one of the oil filters the wix or Napa it says doesnt fit so either one is good for the 318
