for those who know me from other Mopar forums, I am an FMJ body fan.
Finding parts in rust free AZ is what I like to do, and for those parts I can't find, I sometimes have made.
If you have ever removed the upper plate from the rear iso-mount of a junkyard car so you can install a rear sway bar on your car, you know how much work it is.
I have had made several sets of the welded on part that allows you to mount a rear sway bar without taking apart your rear suspension.
They are $35 a set, shipping is included. Add $2 if using paypal....
Pay someone to weld the parts on, and you are about 6 hours ahead of the game.

Keep me in mind for small, shippable, parts that I might find here in AZ.
During the warm months I live in far northern Utah, and during those months, my parts finding days are few.

Can't see the pics there...I guess you have to be a member and signed on to see them?
perhaps you do have to be a member, I don't know, but I added a pic to the OP here in this thread.

I will be in Texas april 5 thru 10 to visit my sister in Kingwood/Humble....I can bring you a set, saving $10 on shipping. Any other FMJ nuts in the area that you know of?

yea I saw those on the dippy site as I am a member there also. I too want to put a sway bar on my car, but does anyone know if someone makes replacement sway bars or do I need to find a junker.

Thanks

Kevin

If you buy an aftermarket bar, bear in mind that the rear bar should be smaller than the front bar, and most front bars are 1.0", factory rear bars are 3/4". Cop cars are 1.125 (1 1/8) front, 3/4 rear. Mopar Performance used to sell a 1.0" rear bar, I think they ran out of them.
But yes, either you find a junker, or buy aftermarket.

I may have a rear bar in my Utah shop, not sure, won't know til mid May at the earliest.

BTW, I added a sway bar to my 80 diplomat coupe and it didn't seem right.
Turns out one of my shocks was shot. Put on good shocks and it handles as expected now.
There is a mostly vacant light industrial park near my house, with several nice turnarounds where I can test out suspensions and sway bars.
It was fun...
Next, rear poly isomounts and bigger front brakes...

Shorty,

my car is the 77aspen R/T I am the one you sold the flares to. I had to come up with a different name when I joined FABO, so it is the same I used here. My other names on other sites is 69cuda.

I picked up a sway bar with all the mounts, and I know about using the
s-10 front sway bar link as the replacements for the rear on these sway bars. what has everyone used as replacements for the bushings that mount to the frame? Was it energy suspension Poly or something else?

Thanks

Performance suspension, Energy Suspension, ESPO springs and things, etc.
And medium to large town should have some after market parts suppliers for truck suspension, and a lot of these rubber parts are common in size.
Pick up any car magazine, preferably a Mopar one, and there will be ads all over the place.

Bill,

I have access to all that, but was there a specific model # that fit in the brackets, or did you use a specific brand and their brackets. Just trying to take the guess work out of it, if someone has already done it.

Thanks

Bushings are seldom unique, there should be plenty of brackets and bushings available.
One thing I have noted, tho, there are 2 types of brackets and the bushings will differ accordingly. One bracket is made of simple flat stock and the bushing has "shoulders" that stick out on either side of the bracket. The other is just the opposite, the bracket stock is not flat, it grips the bushing, which is flat on its surface.......
