My son and I picked up a small tach and a 3-meter panel (small) at Carlisle for his Red Baron. 3 small (2" maybe) gauges -- volts, oil and water, side by side....typical hot rod style metal panel.

In my Cuda I mounted the 3 gauge panel on the underside lip of the knee panel.....I have to look down but it works.

Anyone come up with a clever way to mount a 3 meter panel in an F body?

Yeah I have seen that on imports......does someone make a pillar gauge panel that fits the F body a pillar though? It doesnt seem like its the same as more modern cars that have this...

Modify one of these:

I’d like to see the gauge pod you have (can never have too many pictures posted).

The A-pillar is a good location, if you have a pod that covers the back of gauges and/or wires.
Note: don't ruin a good A-pillar trim - for they are not easy to find.
Only “some” cars and trucks made in last 15 years have pre-made A-pillar castings – which is nice if you have one of those select vehicles (my diesel pickup is one of those select vehicles, that has aftermarket ones available).

Another possibility is to mount them onto the metal plate on top of dash (in front of dash pad). Having a gauge pod that has a covered backside would be a plus. A person could remove the dash top to mount and could route wires through a defrost vent hole or make a new hole for wires.

Same applies if you use the windshield suction cup mount.

I have seen someone make a bracket and it attached to the plastic instrument structure behind the instrument bezel. This bracket came out right side of bezel and it was used to attach gauges and cell phone. I wish I had taken a picture of it. It was functional but not the most attractive looking.

I have worked on a car that someone repurposed the two dash A/C vents and clock location to install 3 gauges. It was a royal pain to remove the cluster bezel and reinstall – but it worked.

I’ve not seen one, but if a person was willing to give up the radio, you can get a radio install kit (aftermarket) and mount gauges to it, then insert into the radio hole.

For me it was simple, I don't smoke, therefore out with the ash tray. Also Installed my panel where the ac/heater controller was.

Is the red toggle for rocket launcher?
Red was the first switch I had, long before I made the plate up with five switches. I wish It was for rockets, but alas in merely turns the fuel pump on. lol. It goes red-fuel pump, Carbon-line lock, Blue-fan 1, Carbon-empty switch, Blue-fan 2.

Damn....I want a rocket launcher.

Sweet setup though.

Just like Bruce Cockburn? As in this video:

By the way, the song is actually an anti-war song, and Bruce Cockburn is more of an acoustic guitar player. I am a fan, not a big fan, but a fan.
