Millennials that are disrespectful to old bastards like me.

No matter what I spoke today, I had some millennial twisting up my words. I know I'm just a dumb car guy. Or I got ... "So, you're telling me......." I speak very simply and to the point. There is no need for re-edit or redefine the English coming out of my mouth. Got so bad, I swore they just wanted me to end every sentence with an F- bomb instead of a period. Eventually, my blood pressure will come down.

Ah slantbilly ...
Let me explain how you keep your blood pressure down.
Code.

When we first married and were frustrated with something the other did we agreed to use
'Yes Dear' as a substitute for the f bomb .
Eventually we would just bust out laughing at all the yes dears... it was too funny if you listened to the words.

So pick out a code.
'You got it' 'Lets say' 'right o' 'hey now'
whatever you want... then you know what it means but they don't hear it.
eventually you'll just start smiling.

All a matter of perspective.

I'm checking into gas station franchises as a career move. Of course Owner / operator, but I'm so burnt out, even pumping gas is going to be a challenge

I just spent two hours this evening taking apart hubbys laptop and drying it out so I could put it back together. He and his cat argued over drink and location and the laptop lost.

I grow weary of fixing and repairing technology when you don't keep liquids away.

Sigh. I'll come work for you if you have a manual cash register.

Easy solution is one less cat.

On behalf of some millennials, I want to apologize. Unfortunately, my generation is made up of a bunch of idiots that don't know to respect their elders. You should try being IN the generation........

I'm seeing a lost generation before me. The generation that understood 3 dimensional concepts. You know, the fabricators, machinist, and the visionaries. I mean, the folks that worked under or with someone and then followed the footstep of what they saw and enhanced or furthered knowledge. Call it apprentice or work study. The appreciation for time experience (more time on earth). These box learners have a real problem thinking outside the box, because they stared too long into the box. They were over sported with peewee soccer to 3 league sports (I'm not all against sports- I 3 lettered Varsity in track, indoor track and Cross Country all 4 years of highschool for a total of 12 Varsity letters). This new generation has very narrow vision or at least most of them do. I say give them a screwdriver and a shop manual. Find a tired old mopar and start taking it apart to sell at the parts on the internet. Let them see how stuff works.

I think some of them change (I hope), but there is a lot of the same. It's not so bad at home for me because I can pick and choose my friends, who are like-minded. But at school.......college town.........it can be rough at times. Not everyone, but the majority........

The faces lost in cell phones grinds my gears

I can guarantee you that 93% of people I walk by are buried in some sort of phone. I've literally had people walk straight into me before while I was standing still.

The 'bubble wrap' generations from the 80's and on are no way capable of running a band saw at school and insurance companies won't allow it.

There was a time when the boys took shop, but now they learn how to insert vegetables in the rectum.

You know what really grinds my gears? It's worn out synchro's. :D

What does grind my gears is the lack of common sense that seems to be a growing trend. That's one that doesn't have an age group. I know some kids with 10 times the common sense of many adults and of course, nothing can compare to the total lack of common sense that most politicians have. That REALLY grinds my gears.
