Wheel Narrowing

Never being able to leave well enough alone. Went to Wheel Works and got the SS/T's narrowed

Damn, that's crazy. I was gonna go wider on Mirada 10 spokes... Offset cutting four wheels to make two wider ones... This eliminates welding a band in as the spacer and has one bead of weld, instead of two weld beads, per rim.
Who did the work and what was the cost?

Steel rims start at 125. aluminum 200. He has common stuff to work from, so to add a section in.
I wanted wider for the back, but there is not much on the outer edge to get a good grab to.

The front was hitting the lower control arm at times of hard driving:

We're those the oem wheels on your truck? Sounds like you may need to look at wheel bearings or lower ball joints. If they were rubbing while turning , may be tie rod ends too.

Let us know how you wheel widening turns out. I would love mine to be at least 8"

Those were/ are the OEM wheels on my truck. The Indy pace truck in 96 and SS/T trucks in 97 & 98 had them. Almost 9 1/2 wide. Too wide for my set up. My truck is sitting grossly lowered from Stock Height. About 9 inches lowered up front and almost a foot out the back. The geometry changes with the lower control arm. The lower ball joint is inverted to go into the shorter spindle. So the control arm is much closer to the rim.
